Peakokk Jarno Nittim

Head Chef

Jarno Nittim

Jarno Nittim is the head chef and creative force behind Kurgo — a self-taught cook who reached the top 5 of MasterChef Estonia's first season. His first school was his grandmother's kitchen, where food was made with love and deep respect for old Estonian flavours.

Jarno personally selects every ingredient — he is extremely demanding about what goes on the plate and makes no compromises. Local and seasonal form the foundation, but his hand fearlessly blends them with Eastern spices. The result is something you won't find anywhere else.

Kurgo's tartare is a journey in itself. Jarno is known as Pärnu's finest tartare master — not a single guest has left disappointed.

Restaurant

Kurgo Restoran

Kurgo Restaurant is located in a historic villa in Pärnu's beach district, just 300 metres from the seafront. This smart casual restaurant reflects Jarno's philosophy: elegant simplicity, honest ingredients and the courage to do things differently.

The menu is a living thing, not a document. It changes with the seasons, sometimes even week to week — depending on what is freshest and finest at the market. You will never eat exactly the same meal at Kurgo twice.

In addition to the regular menu, the restaurant hosts exclusive events with guest chefs — moments that are never repeated and cannot be found elsewhere.

Kurgo Restoran

Kurgo Restoran in Pärnu is a place where head chef Jarno Nittim brings his signature cuisine to the table — where local ingredients meet Asian flavours. Jarno has not trained as a chef. His kitchen comes from something more authentic — a deep love for cooking. He values Asian flavours above all, yet always lets local produce and the season speak for themselves. Every visit is different. Every dish tells its own story. Step inside and let yourself be surprised.
